Setting up a Trezor Wallet: Instructions
Establishing a Connection:
- To initiate the activation and setup process, launch a web browser and navigate to https://trezor.io/start. On this webpage, select the suitable operating system and download the desktop application.
- Upon completing the application installation, proceed to create a wallet. You have the option to choose “Create a new wallet” or restore an existing one using the provided seed phrase.
- When creating a new wallet, click the “Checkmark symbol” displayed on the Trezor device’s screen.
- Subsequently, it is essential to create a backup of the wallet. You can opt for the first choice, utilizing the seed phrase, or select Shamir share, which offers enhanced protection and allows word combinations.
- Carefully read and follow the instructions provided, and then click the “Continue” button. The Trezor device will display a warning, emphasizing the importance of not storing a copy of the seed phrase on your personal computer or any network. After reading and comprehending the warning, press the “I Understand” button.
- Preserve the seed phrase by diligently transcribing it onto paper (multiple copies can be made). Upon completion, press the “Checkmark symbol” on the Trezor device’s screen.
- Proceed by entering a set of verification words as prompted, ensuring accurate transcription of the seed phrase. Successfully entering the verification words will finalize the backup creation process.
- Following the backup creation, activate the PIN code. Confirm the PIN code activation by interacting with the device’s screen and entering a personally convenient numerical sequence. It is crucial to memorize the chosen PIN code.
- Optionally, assign a name to the device, which will be displayed on your computer. The name should not exceed 16 characters in length.
With the completion of the activation and setup process, you can now utilize the device.
Sending Cryptocurrency:
- Access the “Accounts” section, choose the appropriate account (BTC, ETH, or other), and proceed to the “Send” subsection.
- Input the recipient’s address, specify the desired quantity of coins, and optionally set limits and gas price (additional parameters). Click “View.”
- Review the provided information, then select “Confirm on Trezor.”
- Confirm the action on the device. The process is now complete.
Receiving Cryptocurrency:
- Firstly, navigate to the “Accounts” section and select the relevant account where you anticipate receiving the cryptocurrency. Then choose the “Receive” function, followed by “Show full address.”
- Copy the displayed address and verify it on the Trezor device.
- Forward the copied address to the sender for the purpose of receiving the cryptocurrency.
How to include a token in a Trezor Wallet that is not displayed in the Trezor Suite
To add USDT tokens (ERC 20) or any other tokens not currently visible in the wallet, please follow the steps below:
Ensure you possess a base token known as “Ether” (ETH).
- Click on the “Accounts” tab located in the top menu.
- On the left panel, click the plus [+] symbol.
- If Ethereum is not visible, select the option to activate additional coins.
- Choose Ethereum from the list and confirm your selection by clicking “Find my Ethereum accounts”.
- Remember to fund your account as transaction fees will be deducted in ETH tokens, not the tokens being withdrawn.
Next, proceed with the addition of USDT tokens (ERC 20):
- Select Ethereum in the left pane.
- Access the “Get” tab.
- Click on “Display full address”.
- Verify the address that appears on your Trezor cryptocurrency wallet, then click the

- Once the tokens are successfully sent to the address, navigate to the “Ethereum” tab and locate the “Tokens” section.
- After including USDT, you can withdraw the tokens whenever necessary.

- Click on the three dots and select “Add token”.
- Enter the contract address to add the token manually.
